“The Slap” Presents A Tender Moment With A Prostitute

We've been following the trials and tribulations (read: the naked parts) of the characters involved in "The Slap," and it's been a joy. Now we get to see how Manolis, the patriarch of the family, is handling the scandal. Spoiler alert: it interrupts his blowjob.

Even though this comes with a whiff of sleaze, it's kind of a beautiful moment when Manolis asks to touch the young woman next to him. The actor, Lex Marinos, describes his character's mindset: "Manolis still remembers what it was like to be a young man caressing a young woman's breast, and that's a recurring thought for him. He has to come to terms with the fact that he's not that young person anymore." Young or old, we all need to be held sometimes.
