If you think of pornography as a quiet satellite orbiting the world of video games, then we're currently experiencing a perigee between the two heavenly bodies. Video games are getting more porny and porn is behaving more like video games. Thank God.
Why is this happening now? Maybe it has something to do with the annual spawning of the nerds at Comic-Con, or perhaps it's because there are only so many things you can do alone in front of a screen at night. Whatever the reasons are, we always happy when these worlds collide. It means that video game developers are comfortable with taking risks and it helps porn become a more acceptable facet of pop culture. Everybody wins!
Now, we're not claiming that this is a new relationship between the two realms; it's just a sudden surge of activity in this extra sexy section of the Venn diagram. Nudity and video games have been palling around for a long time thanks to the efforts of sneaky game designers and gifted amateur programmers, but it seems like the more time passes, the less novelty exists between the two. Pornstars aren't only advertising tools, they're becoming core parts of games. Conversely, interactive porn is losing its gimmicky flavor and opening up richer erotic experiences and storylines.
But we're probably being too optimistic about the blending of these worlds. Let's enjoy what we have right now because Lord knows that another Hot Coffee fiasco could come along at any minute.

Space Blasters
"Hi, I'm pornstar Chanel Preston, and when I'm not being blasted with cocks, I'm playing 'Space Blasters.'" Ok, so maybe this goes against what we were saying about pornstars being critical parts of video games—and we really doubt that Chanel's entire life is about getting jizzed on and playing "Space Blasters"—but it's kind of cute that Chanel liked the game so much that she contacted the developers and made a little promo video for them. Now that she's been named the official spokesperson for "Space Blasters," she gets to test every new weapon in the game! You can see Chanel testing—and you can also see her nipples—on YouTube.

Saints Row: The Third
The third installment of this ever-popular sandbox game comes with a double-infusion of pornstars, both in the game and in real life. Less than a week ago, THQ announced that former pornstar and "Entourage" heartthrob Sasha Grey was lending her voice to the game, playing a deadly piece of eye candy known as Viola DeWynter (seen above, left side). According to the "Saints Row" Wiki, Viola and Kiki DeWynter are twin sisters, Harvard Business School graduates, and lieutenants of the Morning Star gang led by Phillipe Loren. So they're smart, sexy, and completely evil.
THQ also hired a bunch of Penthouse Pets to help promote the game as the Saints Row Quality Assurance Team: "Dedicated wholly to complete customer satisfaction, the Saints Row Quality Assurance Team promises to ensure a satisfying Saints Row experience whether playing alone or with a friend." Babes like Ryan Keely, Justine Joli, and Shay Laren (all above on the right) have been meeting with concerned fans at Comic-Con, looking superfly at the IGN party, and generally keeping it real/holding it down for "Saints Row." These girls—plus Heather Vandeven, Heidi Baron, and Nikki Benz—will be downloadable characters when the game comes out in August.
We should note that this isn't exactly surprising behavior from the "Saints Row" people. The previous game had a character voiced by Tera Patrick, and she even got to play herself in the "Ultor Exposed" expansion pack!

Lucha Fury
We've spent a lot of time looking at Katsuni—really gazing at this girl—but we've never thought, "Wow! This French-Vietnamese pornstar looks just like a luchadora!" Fortunately, the developers of "Lucha Fury" decided Katsuni was Latina-looking enough to make a great secret character for their new downloadable beat-'em-up game for Xbox Live Arcade.
Once players finish the game, they unlock a strange wrestling deity-form of Katsuni and earn twenty Gamerscore points. Marketing representative Anne-Laure Caffin said "Lucha Fury's graphics are inspired from comics/mangas, and it seemed obvious to us that Katsuni was the perfect fit to embody the goddess in the game." Katsuni says she's stoked about being a goddess: "I couldn't imagine better. I must admit it's quite good for my ego."

Killer Bodies
Adam & Eve are coming out with an interactive porn thriller called "Killer Bodies," starring Tori Black, Alexis Ford, and Teagan Presley. Director David Lord filmed ten sex scenes and thirty-two different plot points, and smashed them together in one big choose-your-own-adventure style movie that adds up to be almost five hours of porn!
We've definitely seen interactive porn before—such as "You're Nailin' Palin: Interactive Adventures of a Hockey MILF"—but "Killer Bodies" is different. Instead of choosing between handjob and blowjob, you get to actually push the plot forward. What is the plot? It's kinda horrifying. AVN summarizes:
In Killer Bodies: The Awakening, Beth (Tori Black) has a perfect life-big house, rich husband and not a care in the world-until they took her. In the blink of an eye, everything changes. Kidnapped and held at gunpoint, Beth is forced to endure a barrage of horrifying torture and sexual experiments. As she pleads for her life, Beth learns it's not her money the mysterious captors are after; it's her mind. The only way to reclaim her life and her sanity is to escape, killing whatever and whoever stands in her path. At the center of the mystery lies a secret deeper and darker than anything Beth could imagine. In the raw interactive revenge-thriller, viewers control the action and the sex scenes to help Beth teach the ultimate lesson-revenge is a bitch!
It's a tad over the top, but still quite cool. And hey, you'll be able to watch this movie over and over, getting different stories each time. All we can ask for is if Tori Black had a Sanity Meter like in "Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem."
