Vivid just announced that their latest contract girl was chosen to play the legendary French sexploitation character Emmanuelle in a series of nine films. Not familiar with the character? Don't worry: we've prepared a quick retrospective for you.
Because if our homegirl Allie Haze is going to be flying off to France, making a stir at Cannes, and resurrecting the public's interest in a figure like Emmanuelle, then everybody has to know what we're dealing with! The character was born in 1957's "Emmanuelle: Joys of a Woman," a book about the sexual exploits of a bored housewife named Emmanuelle; it was probably based on the life of its author, Marayat Rollet-Andriane a.k.a. Emmanuelle Arsan, and/or her husband. 1994: Emmanuelle: A World of Desire
This is truly softcore pornography at its best. This TV-movie has all kinds of softcore orgies, whips, magic, and space travel, and we desperately hope that Allie Haze's interpretation of the "Emmanuelle" tradition includes a scene in which a genie uses his magic powers to please her in ways completely unknown to humanity as a fog machine dumps a sexy atmosphere everywhere.
We're sure that latest revival will be much classier than this... Wait, it's going to be shot in 3D. Oh well! Maybe this means Allie Haze's first act as Emmanuelle will be to visit Dinosaur Land.
