It's been six weeks since I've written about a movie with James Deen. (I still mentioned him, though.) Clearly, this cannot go on. Enter "The Stepmother 4," from another one of Nica Noelle's series for Sweet Sinner. It has James, romance, intrigue, a little bit of kink, and Nina Hartley!

James is engaged to Gracie Glam, who while not my type has a really great body and is a lot of fun to watch. This is the kind of role we usually see James in when Nica casts him; he's fantastic at that sort of sweet-intense thing that works well in simulating long-term relationship sex. I'd love to watch him do something different, like something really kinky, but this studio isn't really the vehicle for that. Here, James does what we know and love: lots of cunnilingus, a constant stream of dirty talk interspersed with endearments, and massive amounts of appreciation during blowjobs. Gracie isn't the most abandoned of partners, which is what I want when I watch Nica's movies (the whole "real orgasm" thing), but she is pretty energetic.

Gracie's "dad," Tommy Gunn, is off on his honeymoon with his new wife Julia Ann. Gracie hates that Julia seems two-faced and is trying to push her out of her dad's life, and I have to say that Julia really fills the role of modern evil stepmother image-wise. Something about her eyes does convey a sentiment like, "I am here to fuck you up, and maybe fuck you." She and Tommy Gunn play at being newlyweds, and I love seeing Tommy, but they just didn't have the right chemistry for me. I can't decide if it was actually lacking between them, or I just don't like Julia Ann. I think I was tired, and too invested in the storyline, and not invested enough in the sex, or something.

Anyway, Tommy and Julia get back from their honeymoon, and Julia makes with the bitchy around Gracie, but all the while she and James are eyefucking each other like crazy. Then, late one night, James and Julia end up having a nightcap together while their partners are asleep, and she starts to put the moves on him before Gracie interrupts. This is like, way more plot than usual, by the way. Whole scenes not designed to introduce sex? Crazy!

The next day, Gracie heads out to meet up with some "friends," who turn out to be Nina Hartley and Christian XXX, a couple with whom she has an established relationship. I mean relationship in that she shows up to have threesomes with them every week. Whoa. That is awesome. First of all, Nina is amazing. Seriously so good. She's funny, sexy, talkative, and she's basically the glue that ties this scene together. Christian is hot (and has a lovely deep voice), and Gracie is cute, but Nina is dynamic, and clearly in charge. She runs this scene, giving instructions and taking action. Gosh, she is absurdly hot. It turns out that Gracie found them when they advertised for a playmate to replace the dominatrix that had been their previous lover. A dominatrix whose photo is by their bed... who happens to be Julia Ann!

Gracie tries to confront Julia with her information, but Julia quickly turns it back on her by questioning how Gracie found out in the first place. Girl clearly has no idea how to be manipulative. She should have seen that shit coming from a mile away and been prepared for it! Who walks in to blackmail someone and gets doubly blackmailed? Julia then maneuvers herself an alone moment with James, who is all too happy to oblige her. I'm always down for another James scene, but Julia still bugged me (even though I was sort of on her side after Gracie's idiocy.) I just don't get engaged by her.

Nica's films are always a good time, which is why I recommend them over and over again, and this one was especially good not for James, which was why I wanted to watch it, but for the threesome with Nina. That one scene is definitely a standout, and worth considering if you're trying to choose between a couple Sweet Sinners for your next movie.
