Though "Female Orgasms" is labeled as an educational porn—and it is very educational!—don't take this to mean that you should avoid it if you're not in the mood for a lecture. Because, let's face it: it's pretty hard to make female orgasms boring—especially when you get to see the female orgasms actually happening.

The straight forward education kicks off the release, with Tristan offering insight on female anatomy, sexual pleasure, and the dynamics of female orgasm. But worry not: this isn't some dry, boring take on orgasms—though Tristan does make good use of anatomy diagrams (and a vulva puppet!), her lecture is heavily peppered with shots of the performers demonstrating her techniques, as well as clips of the performers talking about their own experiences with female orgasm.

And then it's on to the sex. "Female Orgasms" follows the same formula we saw in Tristan's two wonderful installments of "Rough Sex": the scenes kick off with the stars being interviewed, talking about what they like about each other and, in this case, their feelings on female orgasms. Thus we learn that Evanni Solei likes a slow build up, Dylan Ryan likes intense penetration, James Deen loves watching girls orgasm, and Adrianna comes best with a partner when she's experiencing a combination of anal and clitoral stimulation. Oh, and Evan Stone compares the pursuit of a female orgasm to fly fishing...which, I promise, makes way more sense when he explains it.

Hearing women talk about what makes them come is hot. Hearing them talk about what those orgasms feel like? Even hotter. And then getting the chance to watch those women pursue—and achieve—said orgasms with partners of their choice, who they're seriously into? It shouldn't be too hard to understand why I'm head over heels for this porn.

Aside from their focus on female pleasure, and incorporation of toys (including the near ubiquitous Hitachi Magic Wand) into their play, the five scenes are all quite different, heavily influenced by the personalities of the performers, and their relationships with their partners. While Katie St. Ives and Sean Michaels are incredibly talkative, Evanni Solei and Evan Stone opt for a quieter, more sensual pace. Jiz Lee and Madison Young have a very playful vibe that feels a lot like real life sex between long time partners, while the newly introduced Dylan Ryan and Mr. Marcus rip through each other with the kind of energy reserved for highly anticipated first time fucks. And then, of course, James Deen and Adrianna Nicole just really love fucking each other (and it shows!).

It should be noted—as I hinted above—that the focus here really is on female pleasure, above all. Though the male performers are certainly enjoying themselves, there are no facials or heavily glorified cum shots (well, except for when Dylan Ryan soaks Mr. Marcus's entire outfit with her own ejaculation, but that's a different story). When the men do come, it's quietly and without much production—you know, the way most female orgasms are treated in mainstream porn. (Which is not to say I'm against the cum shot, per se; it's just really overused, and it's nice to see things switched up.)

I don't know if Tristan is planning on making an advanced guide to female orgasms, or maybe spinning off the concept into its own vignette series (the way "Expert Guide to Rough Sex" led to "Rough Sex" and "Rough Sex 2"), but I, for one, would be wholly into that idea. Is it wrong to say I won't feel totally satisfied until I've seen each and every lady in the business talking about how she likes to come, and what her orgasms feel like? Probably, but if such a superlative statement gives Tristan more motivation to keep making porn like this, I'll scream it from the rafters.
