American starlets, take note: German Eurovision candidate Lena Meyer-Landrut recently found herself at the center of a "scandal" when nude scenes that she'd shot for a TV show surfaced (and called her "wholesomeness" into question). But did she apologize?
Not hardly! In fact, the singer stood up for her actions, pointing out that it was just nudity, and nothing to be ashamed of. (A direct quote regarding the topless photos now found in German tabloids: "Tell me why that should be a problem. At home, my family always used to say: 'Today's newspaper is tomorrow's fish wrap.'")
And you know what? Sales of her records are up...perhaps some American recording artists could take note of her example. After all, we always did want to see a Beyonce sex tape...
