More Antics Than Fetish In “Fetish Antics”

Back in the heyday of 2006, there was a period when major porn studios (see also: endangered species) took full advantage of the influx of hungry "directors" scrambling for work and undercutting each other's rates in order to get a foot in the door. Seemingly overnight, a torrent of performer-turned-directors emerged, all emulating Jules or Buttman or Robbie D, and all intent on owning their own product and turning a quick profit. The results were predictably tragic. Less than a year later, these same companies were flooding the unregulated DVD market with movies loosely arranged around niches that resembled comps more than new releases.

"Fetish Antics" may very well be one of those movies. The title releases this week, about a month and a half since the company owner sold off his upstart-turned-empire to a European content company, and stars Angela Stone, Megan Joy, Nikki Coxxx, Persia De Carlo, Riley Shy, and Vanessa Lane – most of whom we haven't seen in years. No director is listed on the box front, which is probably for the best since the scenes have nothing to do (in our considerable estimation) with fetish (unless there's some new fetish we haven't heard of...). No bondage occurs at any point in the flick, nor is there any edge play, role play, or water sports either. And you can forget about furries, pony plugs, canings, or electric anal inserts... let alone shibari, suspensions, canings, or even a simple spanking!

Of course, that doesn't mean that the sex itself isn't noteworthy and enjoyable. Au contraire! It's like cracking open a time capsule early and jerking all over everything inside of it--the Tang included! It's always a pleasure to watch Riley Shy take hard pipe, smiling as her natural breasts jog mesmerizingly up and down. It's also great to see Vanessa Lane taking the oversized bishop of Ben English up her dirtpipe in the company of Persia and her frisky friend. And who doesn't love that sweet and pathetic look on Nikki Coxxx's face right after her reckless paramour just lovingly coated her visage with piping hot protein? Just don't let the title, or the disingenuous box cover laced with thick chains, fool you, and you should have a fantastic time.
