YUHMM Leaves Us Feeling Confused And Aroused

To us, the word "YUHMM" reads as a cross between yum and uhmmmmm, which makes it an oddly appropriate title for the online magazine of the same name.

The "yum" is rather obvious: there's a whole lot of hotness on yuhmm.com. We were particularly impressed by the "Yuhmmi Girls" section, which features more than a few of our favorite Crush Objects—though their choice selection of photos and write ups of awesome artists and photographers are quite "yuhmmi" as well.

As for the uhmmmmm, well—perhaps that's best explained in the words of YUHMM themselves, who describe their project as "Playboy meets Hypebeast with a twist of Vivid-Alt." Simply put, the site seems to lack a unifying purpose, and we're not totally sure what kind of vibe, exactly, they're trying to go for—and for that matter, we're not really sure that they know, either. For instance: if the site is actually intended for the 18+ set, why is that fact only mentioned once, and on the very buried About page?

But: the good parts of Yuhmm are very, very good—and we're willing to wait and see if the yum overpowers the uhmmmmm. We're betting it will.
