If we'd spent more of our college years reading our psychology textbooks—and less, um, watching internet porn—we could probably come up with a plausible sounding Freudianesque explanation for the appeal of the glory hole.
Alas, instead of cracking open our "Modern Psychology" book, we were, ahem, doubleclicking our mouse—so instead of being able to explain the glory hole as an object that somehow relates to polymorphous perversity or castration anxiety or something, we're only able to give you the pornesque explanation of the device. Which is to say that the allure of anonymous, no strings attached sex is a timeless thing. And, hey, who doesn't like reaching through a hole in the wall and finding a sexy surprise (or two)?
