"The Virtual Reality Stimulator" is a strange creation; it seems like it was put together solely to show off the 3D technology and maybe arouse you in the process. But fear not, Ultra-Magnum doesn't use the same red/cyan system that Funky Monkey does—they use a high definition purple/amber one—and their product is actually pleasing to the eye. Remember that? Porn that looked good? It's back.

The DVD is made up of two films: the titular "The Virtual Reality Stimulator" and the aptly named "3D Porn!" In "The VR Stimulator," Sarah Vandella gets tied up by a home intruder. Yes, it's sketch at first, but he turns out to be her ex-boyfriend, Pike Nelson, looking for some military technology he left at her place. The Pentagon-pushed "VR Stimulator" can be used to locate landmines in the ground... or, you know, for virtual reality stimulation. Sarah puts them on, and though she doesn't find any landmines, she finds a vibrator in her bed!

For the next twenty minutes, Sarah writhes on the bed in battery-powered ecstasy, flops her head over the edge of the mattress, and swallows thrusts from Pike's pole. She's always a spectacular performer, but she doesn't cut loose until Pike starts slapping her ass in doggie position. Everybody has a favorite angle, right?

Once he busts, Capri Cavalli comes over to play. Sure, she's just a computer program Pike made, but gosh can she ever dance the pole. So what we're left with is a series of extremely choppy—albeit really good looking—masturbation, oral, and cowgirl scenes. Honestly though, at times it looks like you could reach down and hold Rachel's hair as she runs her lips down your shaft.

Not all is perfect in the land of Ultra-Magnum; the DVD is kind of a mess. Not only is "3D Porn!" oddly paced, but it's also a little all over the place. Perhaps it's just this copy, but there's a long blowjob and cumshot scene arbitrarily jammed before "The VR Stimulator." "VR" is a little wacky, too! Halfway through Sarah's scene, the editing jumps between doggie style and standing missionary, back and forth. Is this sloppy work or is Damon Magnum playing Godard? We appreciate how much effort it takes to conceptualize and execute 3D filmmaking—using four cameras at once, by the way—but there's no excuse for deflating erections with odd editing or poorly synced sound.

We're quite grateful for purple/amber approach and how it preserves color better than its predecessor, but "The VR Stimulator" had aesthetic issues brought on by human folly. Long story short: there is a dearth of vagina in this film. Save for Sarah's masturbation scene, some fortunate doggie angles, and Capri's reverse cowgirl action, the vaginas barely get any screen time. No close up pussy pounding, no cunnilingus, no nothing! Even when Pike spoons Sarah, the camera is up by her forehead when it should be closer to her feet. Why the weird blocking?

Gripes aside, this movie says good things about the future of 3D pornography. Maybe some of it was thrown together at the last minute, but we're just so freaking happy that Ultra-Magnum didn't blow bubbles, throw berries, or push any of those inane gimmicks that Funky Monkey finds so dear.
