Even that shot of the ringing phone in the foreground is pretty horror trope-tastic. Why don't they just throw in some shadowy figures, some fog creeping around the bathroom, maybe spooky, bloody words written backwards around the joint? And then it turns out it was all a dream. That sounds like a good movie.
