“Shave ‘Em Dry”: The Dirtiest Blues Song Ever

Fleshbot reader Slimhope sent us a song by Lucille Bogan called "Shave 'Em Dry." He notes, "It's a vintage blues track from the 1930s, and it would make Belladonna blush." He's not kidding folks; this is one hot track.

Here's a little sample:

I got nipples on my titties big as the end of my thumb,
I got somethin' 'tween my legs 'll make a dead man come...

And that's just part of the first verse! There were many other versions of "Shave 'Em Dry" recorded in the '20s and '30s, but only Bogan's version has bawdy swagger like this. Since the title is (most likely) a term used to describe intercourse without foreplay, the other versions all contain some sexual element or euphemism. How many euphemisms do you hear in this one? That's what we thought. This is our new jam.
