We never saw "Basic Instinct 2," so we can't tell you why this scene is taking place. We've seen the first film, though, and it definitely lacked an orgy, so maybe this is an attempt to right that egregious wrong.

In fact, they're covering all the "we didn't get this in the last one" bases. Polychromatic sex, group sex, some sexual acrobatics, even a little light bondage-y stuff... No wonder that guy peering in the window is all, "How can I get in on this?"
