The NY Times recently wrote about the popularity/infamy of Japanese pornstars in Indonesia. Islamist vigilante groups want to keep these ladies out of the country, while certain B-movie directors keeping casting them in films (fully-clothed). Let's take a look!
A naked look, that is. Because that's how we do.
As the article explains, the Indonesian parliament passed an antipornography law in 2008 that includes jail sentences for up to twelve years for producing or distributing anything deemed to violate public decency. However, filmmakers of the teen-slasher-horror-gore-alien-swamp-thing variety know that the AV Idols get a lot of attention in their country, and so they cast them anyway. Even though these movies pass through censorship boards before hitting the streets, the people who make them risk bodily harm at the hands of morally-concerned vigilantes.
So who are the hot honeys worth risking life and limb for? Wouldn't you like to know...

Maria Ozawa
No surprises here; Maria Ozawa is one of the biggest AV Idols of all time! When she's not doing terribly naughty acts with her body parts on camera, she appears in Japanese music videos and stars in Taiwan's first-ever slasher horror film, "Invitation Only." Indonesians know her best from the movie "Kidnapping Miyabi," a movie about an obsessive fan who kidnaps Ms. Ozawa to show his adoration. The Islamist Defenders Front has warned filmmakers not to invite her back to Indonesia—and they're not bluffing either. When they found out that she was flying to Jakarta to promote another movie in 2010, they tried to meet her at the airport and force her back on the plane.

Sora Aoi
You might know Sora Aoi (or Sola Aoi) from that article we wrote about her. She's the lovely lady whose Twitter account motivated hundreds of Chinese fans to bypass the government's web restrictions with proxies and virtual private networks. Perhaps she can work her magic on Indonesian law? We'll have to see.
Since Maria Ozawa is persona non grata in Indonesia, Sora is set to be the new hottie in town. She's set to start in the new film, "Evil Nurse 2."

Rin Sakuragi
Unfortunately, we've been having trouble finding out information about Rin. The NY Times article mentions that she had great success in Indonesia with the first "Evil Nurse" film, and her Jheat bio says she's a Pisces who likes watching movies, playing with her dog, and cooking. Oh well, we suppose we'll just have to settle for ogling her and wishing her many more years of success in her various careers, pornographic and low-budget horror alike.
