In a TV land glutted with scads of sexy shows—and more than its fair share of sexy historical shows, too—it can be hard for for a newcomer to stand out from the crowds and really win over an audience. But "Game of Thrones" is putting forth an impressive effort.
Starting last week with with the appraisal and sale of Emilia Clarke's Daenerys Targaryen (and, let's not forget, Peter Dinklage's trip to the whorehouse), and continuing last night with Daenerys's rough indoctrination into marriage (and, of course, eventual taking of the sexual reins).
Now, granted, the rough sex nature of "Game of Thrones" might not be to everyone's liking (as evidenced by the numerous essays that have popped up to dissect what it all means), but if you do happen to like a bit of roughness (and medieval times) with your TV sexiness...then say hello to your new favorite show.
