It seems like you can open up any non-American fashion magazine and be instantly confronted with evidence that A) ample nudity is necessary for showing off clothing and B) we are prudes for ever thinking otherwise.
When we first saw the Anais Pouliot shoot in Russian Vogue, we thought, "Oh, that's just Anais, doing her usual naked-writhing thing. That's how she rolls." But somehow, finding the Marie Claire Spain with Sheila Marquez looking like some bondagey, half-nude, wind-blown beach superhero makes us feel like we don't understand European culture or how to properly appreciate fashion. We are ashamed and aroused. (Mostly aroused.)
