New York’s Mermaid Parade Celebrates Coney Island’s Nakedest Mermaids (And Mermaid Admirers)

"Game of Thrones" fans may be all atwitter about dragons, but we've got a whole other class of supernatural creature on the mind: mermaids.

Yes, dragons may have returned to the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, but on Saturday, mermaids returned to Coney Island—and though it's debatable which occasion was celebrated with more nudity, Coney Island's Mermaid Parade definitely wins points for glitter and glamour (and, you know, lack of anyone dying on a burning pyre).
