"Prison Girls," from Elegant Angel, is a great movie. It has high production values, good sets, decent acting, and awesome sex! The only thing that might give some of you pause are the uncomfortable power dynamics. How politically correct do you need your porn? If the answer is "Not at all," well, read on!

Set in the fictional prison Jonesville and featuring interview segments in a documentary style (like a Dateline documentary, not a fancy one), "Prison Girls" has three prison guard/prisoner scenes, and two prisoner-on-prisoner(-on prisoner, in one) lesbian scenes. The slightly rape-y undertones can be a little awkward, especially in the set-up for each pairing, but they don't always carry over to the sex. I'd be lying if I said these scenarios didn't give me pause, but if you contextualize them as the fantasies/role-playing that they are, they don't generally take away from the dynamics of the performers, who are all enjoying themselves immensely.

The first scene finds Sophia Santi being held back on the bus by guard Erik Everhard. She's got a court date, but he's not letting her go until she does what he wants. Yes, this is what I mean by awkward. However, Sophia is really into this, helped along by the fact that Erik primarily wants to eat her pussy. He really went for it. I love Erik Everhard, and he was great in this, pulling out just to go down on Sophia again and again and rubbing her clit constantly while she was fucking him. Sophia looked like she was in heaven. And at the very end, there's a moment where she looks up at Erik and says, "If I miss my court date, I'm fucking the warden and getting you fired." I guess she's using sex as currency just as much as he is.

The most brutal scene by far was actually between Lily LaBeau and Bobbi Starr, who both look like angels. Lily's just stuck in Jonesville for 48 hours because of a drunk driving charge, but she's in a cell with Bobbi, who's serving a life sentence for first degree murder and kidnapping. Bobbi plays psycho-killer remarkably well; this is an instance where her innocent smile turns deadly very easily. Lily does terrified fresh meat equally well. There is a lot of slapping and hair-pulling and choking. I don't find violent sex hot. It mostly freaks me out. I think both these women are super-sexy, but I just cringed the whole time (which speaks well for their acting skills, but isn't conducive to getting off.) If aggression is something you're into, this will work. It's not so much that Bobbi and Lily are in character, but that they're just merciless with one another.

Bill Bailey, who is hot, plays another prison guard who fucks prisoner Jynx Maze in the laundry room. She's super-down, though. In fact, she's probably the most enthusiastic and giggly prisoner I've ever seen in porn. The laundry room set is kind of cool and steampunk-y. Again, there's plenty of Bill going downtown, and Jynx egging him on and wanting him to fuck her "like a man." (This phrase never made sense to me. I mean, it's so vague.) Bill responds by fucking her in the ass without much ceremony, and she's totally into that. Oh, and side note: one time I got a request to do a Top Ten Video Round-up about athletic socks. I did, and if that person is reading, there are a lot of athletic socks being worn by these women during sex. So you're welcome.

Jayden James is in the shower, which is pretty fancy by the way. My shower doesn't have a tiled bench in it. Phoenix Marie and McKenzie Lee stroll in and intimidate Jayden, before putting on a bit of a show for her, and, of course, drawing her in. This scene was surprisingly sensual, with lots of boob-soaping and whispering. It was okay. I feel like the interaction didn't quite fit with the tone of the rest of this movie, but the sex was pretty good, and the girls are hot. I was especially fond of McKenzie's reaction to being licked by both girls at once.

Steve Holmes plays the ultra-creepy warden, who is rumored to be corrupt, and also talks creepily about running his prison like a German machine. That's weird! I don't like vague Nazi references! Alexis Texas plays a prisoner in solitary confinement who is visited by Steve. He inexplicably spreads whipped cream on his dick and has Alexis lick it off. It's not that she's unwilling, but I'm still hung up on the German thing. He follows this up by tying Alexis to the bars of her cell so he can come in and fuck her. (Also there's a closeup of his wedding ring. It's like they were trying to make this scene as WTF as possible.) This is the only scene where the performers stay truly in character the whole time, and therefore the creepiest. (I know I said creepy many times. I'm just trying to get the point across.) The sex is fine, if you don't listen to what they're saying.

There was a lot of variety in the sex in "Prison Girls," which is a nice change from the porn where every scene is the same thing with different people. The production values were great, and the performers were genuinely awesome in their roles; it was all a matter of whether or not I could deal with what role they were playing. It's definitely worth a look, especially if you like a solid amount of plot in your masturbation material!
