Isn't it nice when movies deliver what they promise? "A Series of Unfortunate Events" contained a number of scenarios that were not good for the protagonists; perfect. This movie has Irene Jacob doing things in Rio that are funny and involve nudity.

It's like we have those glasses from "They Live" and we can see what things really mean when we look at them. When we look at Irene, we see the woman we fell in love with in 1991's "The Double Life of Veronique" and everything feels right.
