Stunt Butts, Random Racks, And Other Bits Of Fake Celebrity Nudity

Obviously we want celebrities to be naked all the time, but the celebs themselves aren't always in the mood. That's why God invented compromises like the body double and CGI nudity! Oh, happy fappy day, everybody wins!

As we've discussed before, fake nudity isn't all about trickery and deception, it's an artform in its own right. It allows actors and actresses to feel comfortable with what they're doing, while the viewers get all the pervy realism they need to get through the day. When you think about it, exposing yourself is like a low-injury stunt, and not every performer wants to do their own stunts.

Truth be told, more celebrities use body doubles than you'd think! For example, even though one of the most iconic images of the 1990s was Pamela Anderson running across the beach in slow motion, she occasionally used body double Renee Sloan on "Baywatch"! We'll give you a moment to pick up your shattered memories.

These days it seems like the body double is slowly being replaced with CGI nudity. We learned today that Olivia Wilde had her pasties digitally turned into nipples for a scene in the upcoming movie "The Change-Up," and we started worrying about the future of stand-in nudes! These people already don't get a lot of credit for their work, and now the job might be completely obsolete! We're living in a world where you could give Olivia Wilde a third nipple if you wanted.

Anyhow, we wanted to take a quick look at some of the recent fake nudity moments that have touched us in one way or another—if not to remember moments when we mistakenly drooled over celebrity body parts, then to memorialize this noble profession.

Super Bowl XLIV
Last year, Megan Fox appeared in a bathtub full of suds for a Motorola advertisement that aired during the Super Bowl. Everyone was freaking out because she used a body double, but oddly enough, it wasn't a double for her legs or torso; she wanted double for her hands! Many people on the internet were LOLing over the idea of a thumb double, but Fox deserves to have any sort of double she wants.

This just goes to show you that even the most wanted beauties in the world can feel insecure about their looks and that people on the internet love making fun of celebrities just slightly more than they love ogling half-naked celebrities in the bath.

Up In The Air
Even actors who've never used doubles before may suddenly feel the need to have one. Such is the case with Vera Farmiga, who had a butt double help during a sex scene with George Clooney in "Up In The Air." The scene was shot weeks after Farmiga gave birth to her son, and she says she attempted to do it herself, but she was concerned that her butt had grown too much. Sigh.

As Vera herself has noted, you can see her unclothed in many other movies. "From 'Running Scared' to 'Never Forever' to 'The Departed,' I've mooned audiences my whole life." And may you continue to moon audiences forever, Vera Farmiga.
