Sin City Is Still “Barely 18”

In the classic "Dazed & Confused", writer/director David Linklater has one of his characters unwittingly explain the timeless appeal of porn series like Sin City's "Barely 18": "That's what I love about these girls, man. I get older and they stay the same age." Now in its 39th installment, the series is firmly old enough to be the biological parent of so many of the lissome young starlets whose introduction to the porn world it so lovingly chronicles. (Er, or something like that.)

Watching aspiring sex stars like Jacky Joy, Crissy Moon, Ashli Orion, Mackenzee Pierce, Faye Reagan, and Brynn Tyler cavort and tumble their way through the DVD, we are taken back to a simpler time when the ineffable certainty of youthful indestructibility permeated every fiber of our being. Could that intimation of immortality be part of the mystery that attracts us to videos like this in the first place? Or is it just because they're, like, really hot?
