Either television really exaggerates more than we knew, or tax collectors in Germany experience tons of toplessness, moody lighting, and (according to the internet) run-ins with gangsters.

Of course, they also have to suffer putting their clothing back on, rather than taking it off. And that, dear readers, is the difference between tax collector/gangster shows in Germany, and tax collector/gangster shows in America. That's kind of an accurate description of "Boardwalk Empire," right?
