A Field Guide To Bethany Benz

Bethany Benz was born in Ukraine on December 1, 1986. She lived between Kiev and Moscow until she moved to the United States at the age of twelve and started attending high school in Chicago. Not much is known about her parents except that her father is Nigerian and her mother is Ukranian; Benz alleges that her parents aren't aware that their daughter is a pornstar.

Before she started doing porn, Benz was a glamour model/hip hop video hottie who's worked with gentlemen like R. Kelly, Twista, and Snoop Dogg. Caviar/Benz officially became Bethany Benz when she shot a porn scene with Reality Kings in the middle of 2010. She says she was terrified when she first stepped in front of the camera, but she loved doing it so much that she starred in thirty adult films in five months. In every interview she gives, Benz says that the money is the last reason she's making porn, and that she's in the industry because she loves it. The internet exploded with gossip when she announced her career change, but Benz has never understood the hype. "Where I come from, we're open-minded," she tells Adult FYI, "and I think Europeans are way more comfortable without making it a big deal. Life is life. If I'm comfortable enough to do it in front of a camera, great for me." Of course, Bethany still has fun when she's at work, and she told BooBooTV that she orgasms "most of the time" that she's on camera.

One of Benz's most notorious moments happened when she was filming a scene with Prince Yashua and she accidentally broke his penis. According to AVN, she was riding him in reverse cowgirl, and as she slammed down, Prince thrust upwards, missed her vagina, hit her thigh and "snapped." Audibly. The torn urethra was bad, but the ripped pelvic wall almost ended Yahshua's career. With a bit of good luck and physical therapy, Prince put his package back together, and he holds absolutely no hard feelings against Benz. Bethany has some intense competition for AVN's Best New Starlet award, but we think she has a good shot at winning. She's a clever young lady who knows what she wants and isn't afraid to get it, and no amount of awkward VH1 shows or broken penises is going to discourage her. Honestly, she's a hot black girl with a Russian accent; what part of that description doesn't scream Best New Starlet?
