We’re “Forever Crazy” For These Ballet-Trained Burlesque Babes

Ever heard of the Parisian burlesque house called Crazy Horse Cabaret? We just learned about them! So today for show and tell, we have photos from their first tour in sixty years; expect breasts, costumes, props designed by Salvador Dali and costumes designed by Karl Lagerfeld.

Sounds insane, right? You're damn straight it is. We've heard of a lot of different nudity-offering establishments by the name of Crazy Horse, but only this one is a family owned business that's been around since 1951. These people knocked down twelve wine cellars to make their underground smut stage! Who knew that such destruction would produce an internationally loved and often emulated institution? It gives us the warm fuzzies.

The photos above come from their latest show, "Forever Crazy," an homage to Crazy Horse's late founder, Alain Bernardin. In addition to burlesque, he also enjoyed featuring mimes, jugglers, and magicians. Here's an adorable quote of Bernardin's:

"[Magic] is a dream. There is no show that is more dreamlike than a magic show. And what we do with the girls is magic, too, because they aren't as beautiful as you see them onstage. It's the magic of lights and costumes. These are my dreams and fascinations that I put onstage."
