Banned In Lebanon: Darine Hamze’s Sick Cowgirl Skills

Darine Hamze—an actor/filmmaker whose Wikipedia page happens to have a stupidly gorgeous picture that we can't stop staring at—plays a married singer who falls for a French lawyer in a Beirut nightclub. He gets convicted of spying, she tries to leave her husband, and amidst all the craziness, they frantically screw in the hotel. Now why would anyone ban a movie like this?

We know that asking "Why would a strict government ban a sexy movie?" is totally dumb, but hey, so is banning sexy movies! To give you some context, Lebanon also banned "Persepolis" and "You Don't Mess With the Zohan." Frankly, we think there's much more artistic and intellectual merit to be found in Darine's pinched nipples than in most movies, and lumping it in the same boat as an Adam Sandler movie is kinda depressing. How will we cure the blues? We're going to look for more pictures of Darine Hamze!
