Netflix Picks: Are You Just Using Us For Sex?

TV/MOVIES

You guys, we really like you, and we've had a lot of fun talking about movies with you, but we have to wonder: are you just using us to get your rocks off and your jollies up? You'd better be. We like being used. In fact, we like movies in which people are used for sex.

In real life, we're all about consent and mutual enthusiasm in sex, with and/or without emotions, but when it comes to our fantasy worlds, we like the taboo and power play involved in the following films.

1. Student Services: This movie is based on "Mes Chères Études," the autobiography of an anonymous student at a Paris university who claimed that she had to go into prostitution to pay her tuition and support herself. If this sounds like the plot of a seedy 1970s sexploitation film, you'll be interested to hear that it was written in 2008, made into a movie in 2010, yet it still has the feel of an old timey "good girl going bad and loving it because it's so naughty" kind of flick. Deborah Francois plays the student, and her puffy nipples light up the screen quite often.

2. Diary of a Nymphomaniac: Ever since her first sexual encounter, Valere has been obsessed with physical pleasure, and in her pursuit of lust, she ends up working in a brothel. It's a plot so silly and tacky that our fingers feel sticky just typing it down, but it does make for a rather sexy film. Again, even though this sounds like a thirty year-old film, it came out quite recently. Sexploitation will never die, and the gorgeous Belen Fabra is living proof of that!

3. The Story of O: "Story of O" is a world-famous erotic novel published in 1954, and it describes the tale of a beautiful Parisian photographer who agrees to be turned into the ultimate submissive sex toy in a series of increasingly challenging and exploratory encounters with dominant men. The 1975 movie is arguably the most popular adaptation, but there have been countless other mainstream and pornographic versions as well. We like this film because it sticks with the novel's plot for the most part, but it emphasizes O's independence (and ability to leave the program) throughout. Also, the ending is different. Also, Corinne Clery is hot.
