Netflix Picks: Death Gets Us Hot

TV/MOVIES

When we were figuring out what aspect of human sexuality to explore for the H entry of The Encyclopedia of Smut, we came across hybristophilia, the attraction to people who have committed gruesome crimes. It's heavy stuff! Fortunately, it's often portrayed in movies--sexy movies--and Netflix has a few we think you'll enjoy.

1. Body of Evidence: If you can forgive the fact that this movie was universally panned by critics and earned six Golden Raspberry nominations, we think you'll really enjoy it. Long story short, Madonna fucks a man to death then gets into a "Basic Instinct"-esque relationship with Willem Dafoe. Sounds amazing, right? Madonna fucks a man to death!

2. Exterminating Angels: All right, no gruesome crimes are committed in this movie, but it's not exactly the cleanest flick on Netflix! In 2002, director Jean-Claude Brisseau was arrested on charges of harassment, fined and given a suspended one-year prison sentence after being sued by three women who had performed sexual acts in front of him during auditions. "Exterminating Angels" is essentially a semi-autobiographical tale of his experiences with those women, made in 2006. He's not exactly hybristophilia-worthy, but he's creepy, and this movie has tons of girl-on-girl action.

3. Crowley: A man enters a VR machine and becomes possessed by the spirit of "The Wickedest Man in Britain," a.k.a. "The Beast 666," a.k.a. Aleister Crowley, who then seeks out a bride to increase his powers. He's the ultimate bad boy, and the ladies do love bad boys! Esme Bianco (of "Game of Thrones" fame) strips, Nicola Rockhill plays the violin topless, and the whole movie is just crazy. We love it.
