Welcome To Courtney Trouble Week!

Hi. My Name Is Courtney Trouble. And this week, I turn thirty. I know, I don't look a day over 18, but it's true! My birthday wish was to pretend I have Lux's job for one week, and I got it! My goal is to transform Fleshbot into a free for all of feminist, queer, indie sex. I'll keep it cute, I promise!

So, turning thirty. That basically means that I have been making porn for over a third of my life now, and have yet to step foot on a mainstream porn set unless you count my own.

I started a porn site called NoFauxxx.Com in 2002, a few months after my 19th birthday. I liked alt porn a lot, but it didn't feel real to me for some reason. As a photographer since childhood, a baby riot grrrl, a self-publishing computer geek, and a total ham - making my own porn site that featured me and my friends being queer and kinky, punky and pretty and pervy just seemed like a very logical first step!

What happened then was that for the next ten years, I would be surfing an artistic adrenaline high that never crashes. Every day there's something new and exciting on the horizon. I've made at least 13 films. I've shot hundreds and hundreds of sex scenes, and maybe triple that in photo sets. I've performed in over 30 scenes. I launched QueerPorn.TV with Tina Horn, and relaunched NoFauxxx as Indie Porn Revolution earlier this year. I now run my own distribution company and release my films independently - and I'll be putting out three before three year's over! I've won countless Feminist Porn Awards, and AVN has awarded me with numerous nominations (which is like gold to an indie director, let's get real!) I've been flown around the world to show my films, perform, speak on panels, and teach classes. I've been on the cover of a newspaper, naked. My life is pretty charmed.

I found my calling at  very early age. And now ten years later, I still feel like I'm at the beginning. I still feel like I have boundless energy to do what I do. To fuck on film. To film the fuck. To edit, cast, plan, budget, network, and market. To flirt, play dress up, cheat out to the camera, and re-apply lip gloss and lube. To fight, be political, be loud, be feminist. It's all me. It's all The Real Me.
