We met Kayla Synz at a porn party once and, not wanting to sully the conversation with shop talk, neglected to ask what sort of things she did on film. Then two DVDs arrived from different studios, each featuring the statuesque Synz on the bottom. We compare and contrast Synz' appearances in Hustler's "Taboo: Pain" and JM's "Tough Love 12" after the gap.

Just as I sometimes enjoy dressing up in a space suit and, you know, going to other planets, I think some "fetish" videos are those in name only. Actual BDSM fans would wonder what was up with the coats of arms on the wall and why Synz couldn't get out of a cage that didn't even have a latch on the door. Also, why is Marco Banderas wearing camouflage pants? And why is Synz wearing porn heels?
The strappy gear goes away very quickly, giving way to a standard porn scene. Not that Synz is not lovely to look at, but a "dungeon party" rental does not a fetish video make.
In JM's "Tough Love 12", though ... well, we do have an idea that Synz is not enjoying herself. More about abuse than a lifestyle arrangement, this video (also featuring a very funny scene between Otto Bauer and Dana DeArmond) does a little work in establishing the relationship between long-suffering wife Synz and her redneck husband, played by Jay Ashley.
Embarrassed that she has dragged him to a marriage counselor, Ashley proceeds to debase his helpmeet.
Neither of these videos would meet with the approval of dedicated BDSM enthusiasts: one is playacting and the other is juvenile, but that is not the point; Synz looks good with her clothes off. Wonder what Paige White would do with her?
