“My Life In Cinemascope” And My Sex Life On A Smut Blog

"Ma vie en cinémascope" is a biopic about Alys Robi, a famous Quebecois singer who was extremely popular during the '40s. With Pascale Bussieres holding down the lead role, the movie shows Robi's highs and lows, her love and lust, her budding madness, and even the events that lead up to her partial lobotomy. Yep, it's that kind of movie.

Even though Robi looks quite disturbed in the plane scene, her story doesn't end quite like you'd expect. In real life, Alys Robi was submitted to a mental asylum for five years and given a partial lobotomy against her will, but then made a full recovery. "I woke up better and later understood that I was one of the rare lobotomy success stories," she said. She was released in 1952 and took the stage again to sing that same year, but the taboo of mental disease followed her and she never gained her old level of popularity. Robi lived until 2011 when she passed at the age of 88. Interesting stuff, right?

Anywho: boobs.
