A Word From 2011’s Crush Object Of The Year

Later today, we'll be crowning our latest slate of Top Ten Crush Objects--and with that list, choosing a brand new Crush Object of the Year. But before we do, here are a few words from last year's Crush Object of the Year, Camille Crimson.

Hey Fleshbot! It's your 2011 Crush Object of the Year. I never got my sash (probably got lost in the mail!) but I did get a warm, fuzzy feeling all year long. I was completely floored when I saw the post stating that I was chosen. I wasn't expecting it in the least, but I'd be lying if I said it wasn't on my radar. I had already been following Fleshbot for a number of years and sharing some photos and videos here, too. More than that, I got pretty invested in the community. Considering this is a porn and sex blog and most people come here with banter in mind as a distant second to other enjoyable activities, there was a considerable amount of discussion.

I've felt a ton of support here with everything I do, from big projects to just sharing some advice or thoughts. When I first started getting really serious about making porn as my living, Fleshbot was one of the first places to take me under its wing and make me feel valued for making porn that was different. Sometimes the industry can be overwhelming when you're just a couple making movies in your home. This is an amazing place because it gives a sense of legitimacy to a lot of more "out there" erotic ideas and brings it to an audience that may not already be aware of the idea, but is definitely open to pretty much everything, as long as it's thoughtful and high quality. I wouldn't hesitate at all to say that Fleshbot is one of the biggest taste makers in the industry, and it has always been a force of good, not evil. (I'm not sure what pornographic evil consists of, but I hope we never find out.)

On a personal level, 2012 has been amazing for me. We launched Slow Motion Blowjob, we put out our first DVD with Hustler, LFP, we got nominations for XBIZ, AVN and the Feminist Porn Awards... But it all started on that lovely afternoon when I logged onto Fleshbot as per usual and felt an unprecedented swell of emotions. Though I'll be passing along the title to someone else, I'll always be back to chat, to share new things going on and to toss the occasional teaser your way... I'll always have a crush on Fleshbot.
