A Lube To Love

I didn't realize that I like my lubes like I like my ladies -- and that's thick. Hello, Please Gel Lubricant! It's viscous yet slippery, stays in place yet offers plenty of locomotion. I've got a new little soldier upon my nightstand, and he's getting deployed, like, a lot.

I've had the privilege to sample many a lubricant in my day, and they're always okay -- they always accomplish their mission, but sometimes they're so slick they slip right off the toy I'm using, or they seem to rub away right quick during partner play, and then one's got to keep squirt-squirt-squirting, which interrupts the flow of things.

I love this Please gel because it stays right where you put it -- it's notably thicker than any other lube I've tried, and really is like the consistency of hair gel. This provides an unprecedented amount of control. The gel can be smeared into a super thin layer (while still retaining expert coverage and slickiness) or it can be slathered on thick (without dripping!), all customizable and stuff depending on the need. If you like being the boss of your lube, this is for you.

For a large toy, all I did was squeeze a little less than a quarter-size amount on the tip, smoosh it around and down, and then went to town. After insertion it retained its slipperiness, somehow seeming to stay where I put it even after the ol' in-out. I don't understand it, but I love it.

The only qualm I have about the Please gel is that after being unused for however long, whatever is left in the opening of the bottle solidifies and turns into a hard little chunk. It actually is sort of annoying because you're squeezing out your lube to play and what do you do with this unsmooshable lube booger? I suppose that's pretty minor compared to the joys it brings, so I'll live (and maybe invest in a box of bedside tissues). Additionally, its super thickness can make it stick to fingertips but you know, you can just rub that on yourself.

So yes, try this out! I can't imagine being disappointed. It's water-based, animal-product free, and is $8 for a 2 oz. bottle -- a worthy investment as far as my money goes.
