The Topless Modeling Career Of Sofia Coppola

We've long known Sofia Coppola as the daughter of Francis Ford, the director of numerous movies (some fantastic, some...less so), and the fine mind that decided to put champagne in a soda can. What we did not know is that she also spent some time as a topless model.

But today we stumbled upon a few photos -- some from a 2002 Marc Jacobs campaign, some of unknown provenance -- that feature Sofia sans top. She looks so lovely, and so natural, in the photos, that the only thing we're really able to think is, "Why on earth did she give this career up?"
