It's been banned in Idaho. Its stars have denounced their onset treatment. And it won the coveted Palme d'Or at Cannes. Imagine if Lars von Trier had directed "Blue Valentine," but made it the tale of two young lesbians (and dramatically upped the sexual content), and you'd have something akin to "Blue is the Warmest Color." And now we've got a peek at the sapphic sex that's caused so much controversy.
Thanks to an intrepid Instagram user (whose account will probably be disabled by the time you click that link), a fifteen second preview of "Blue is the Warmest Color" has made its way online. Is it worth all the controversy? We're not quite sure--but it is pretty damn hot (and, let's be serious, we'll watch anything that involves Lea Seydoux nude).
