“Vikings”: A History Channel Show With Nudity?

The past few years have brought us numerous historical dramas that don't skimp on the sexiness: "Rome," "Spartacus," "Game of Thrones" (well, it's the history of Westeros, right?). But somehow it seems that we managed to miss a recent addition to the lineup -- all because it aired on the History Channel.

Yes, the History Channel, the cable network best known for its exploration of the ways aliens may have influenced our culture, has been airing a show that features full frontal nudity. We're not entirely sure if the naked bits of "Vikings" actually made it on to the air in America, or if they were part of an international (or web-only) edition. But we do know we'll be paying much, much closer attention to the History Channel from here on out.
