Very few sex toy companies base their entire business around one toy, but Aneros has managed to do just that even as they've virtually halved their potential user base from "people with buttholes" to "dudes with prostates" by sheer design. Based on a medical device for prostates (but a happy kind and not a scary kind) the Aneros has gone through several design revisions over the past few years, though always with its patented curlicue handle that nestles itself up against the taint—and when was the last time you encountered a sex toy that, well, nestles?
The Helix, Aneros' latest and greatest design, isn't too far removed from the other taint-nestling models that put Aneros on the sex toy map several years ago, though it's more "aggressively shaped and angled" according the the company—which is not very reassuring language for men just venturing into prostate play. Despite the war-mongering copy, the toy doesn't actually have hidden weapons of ass destruction in it. Instead, it's actually designed for men who have "less patience" but want to see the word through the eyes of a well-stimulated prostate. Which really, I'm all for. Full on ass invasion is plenty interesting for those with ferocious butt lust, but the Aneros is just right for dudes who are more interested in giving their sphincter a hug than they are in taking it to aerobics class.
