THROWBACK THURSDAY–A Five Question Quickie with Retired Porn Star Lexi Love

Beautiful Lexi Love was a gonzo/hardcore performer who worked in adult for eight years starting in 2005.  She was a top girl and had a ton of boxcovers--she was sweet, considerate and easy to work with.  She did anal, she squirted like the Bellagio fountains and she was nominated for six AVN Awards in her time in the business.  She fought for and won access to her domain name after a cybersquatter took it, courtesy of a decision by the World Intellectual Property Organization.  She was a true star in porno and porn is better for her time in it.

1) Why did you choose to retire from porn?

I retired from porn because my life and the industry was falling apart. I watched my mother suddenly pass away from hepatitis C in 2009, I was in the middle of the divorce process with my husband, and the effects of piracy along with the economy crashing at the same time caused production houses to shut down leaving everyone with and little to no work. All these things, especially my mother passing from an STD that is not tested for on a regular in the adult industry, made me realize I was putting myself at risk every time a filmed with another performer. I no longer wished to put myself at risk for the sake of entertainment, money and fame.

2) What was the best part of being a porn star?

The best part of being a porn star was the ample amount of opportunities to travel all over the country and overseas, meet interesting people and make lasting relationships with them, while spending my twenties having a great time doing work I found exciting.

3) Do you keep in touch with your friends from the industry?

I do keep in touch and have added some amazing people to my life that I met while working in the adult industry. If you follow me on Twitter, facebook or instagram you’ll see who they are.

4) What are you up to these days?

Entertainment wise, I’ve started to host parties as a celebrity personality, collaborate with music artists, a little mainstream acting and voice work here and there. When I’m not working in entertainment I focus my time building my budding marketing and consulting company, take time out to work creative art projects, and spend time out in nature.
