The Goddess Project Wants Women To Be Nude & Empowered

The Goddess Project's latest initiative, SHINE, wants women to feel empowered, beautiful, and at one with nature. And naked too, it definitely wants them to be naked, making this a project I can definitely stand behind. 

All joking aside, this is the kind of thing that there just isn't enough of. Positive reinforcement of self-image. In a culture that celebrates sameness and conformity, it's nice to have this initiative to help women celebrate their individuality. 

In this short film, 10 young women were invited to come together, shed their layers, and return to nature. By removing comparisons, competition, and conditioning, the women were given a space to look inward. What remains? Embraced individuality. What can be seen? The potential to overcome obstacles of negative self image with the support of other women. Stepping into our own light is giving ourselves the power we know we deserve, and it encourages others to do the same.

The naked female form is beautiful, and above all else, empowering. Just look at the power it wields over you. You are helpless to resist the pull. Just let nature take its course. Don't you feel better now?
