Today In WTF: A Titty Bouncy House

Sometimes I get the distinct feeling that in the future I've invented a time machine, because I'll see things like this bouncy house that features large breasts and think to myself, "yeah, I could see myself abusing technology for such juvenile gains."

Alas this time, future Tucker, who looks smashing with his salt & pepper hair and distinguished mustache I might add, is not the man responsible. No, the beautiful dreamer who brought this to life is named, wait for it... Sam Bompas. Of course his name is Sam Bompas. The only more appropriate sobriquet would have been Tom Tittyhouse. 

Bompas is part of the artistic duo Bompas & Parr, who teamed up with Professor Vanessa Toulmin from the National Fairground Archive in the UK to create the show Funland: Pleasures & Perils of the Erotic Fairground. 

In addition to the breast bouncy castle (Jump for Joy) and the mirror maze (Tunnel of Love), there is a climbing wall made out of genitals (laid out by a professional climbing wall route setter); a mechanical horse racing game which replaces the horses with penises, and a cinema. The five pieces in the exhibition are accompanied by a soundscape by Dom James, which Bompas describes as "haunting and menacing but titillating". Staff at the museum will wear capes by fashion designer Tour de Force.

"...replaces the horses with penises..." Horse penises?

The show opens this Thursday, June 26, at the Museum of Sex in New York.
