Don’t Take It Personally: Way Too Specific

If there's one thing I've learned from writing this column, it's this... Guys who want to successfully get laid by using the Casual Encounters page on Craigslist need to be able to strike the perfect balance between open for anything and horrendously specific.

The more open-ended your request, the more likely you are to attract an ax-wielding psychopath who will throw "you said you were down for anything" right back in your face before cleaving you in two.

Conversely, the more specific you are, the less likely you'll be to find a potential connection because any woman naive enough to go along with your horribly impersonal tactics may not fit the exact mold you're looking for. 

Take this guy from Omaha, who was being proactive about his needs on an upcoming business trip, yet completely ruins it by asking for a woman to fit far too many specific criteria.
