Larry Flynt Chats About Hustler’s 40th Anniversary

EDITORIAL FEATURES

Never one to look back in anger, Larry Flynt recently chatted with The Huffington Post (link below) about the 40th anniversary of Hustler Magazine, and how the more things change, the more they stay the same.

"I think we've gotten over the knee-jerk attitude that we had towards sex in the '50s and '60s, and we're more like the Europeans in that sense that we realize it's more natural to be enjoyed. I'm bothered a great deal more by all of the gratuitous violence than I am sex."

The interviewer goes on to more or less give Flynt sole credit for breaking down a lot of those taboos, and while Flynt maintains an air of modesty, he does concede to at least one contribution he's made.

"When Hustler started, no one really knew what a woman looked like, and I think that what we did was let the whole nation know that a woman’s vagina had as much personality as her face".

And for that, right there, we salute you Mr. Flynt. Keep on fighting the good fight.
