Labiaplasty On The Rise Among 18-24 Year Olds

If there's one constant in this world, it's that plastic surgeons are the least scrupulous doctors in the world. The number of "problems" invented whole hog by their industry has made things like labiaplasty the latest trend in young women ages 18-24.

According to The Daily Mail (link below), so-called designer vagina surgeries are being performed at an alarming rate these days.

Around 1,150 young women of this age make requests for designer vaginas each year.

The surgery involves reducing the size of a woman's labia minora to make them more symmetrical and smaller than the labia majora.

The rise in popularity of this type of operation is often attributed to unrealistic representations of what female genitalia is supposed to look like.

Pornographic materials, airbrushing and waxing are just some of the elements that can make young women disillusioned with how 'normal' their vagina naturally appears.

In my interview with Aeryn Walker a few months back, she alluded to this trend rising in Australia for downright ridiculous reasons.

So people go online and the most common thing is the American "plastic fantastic" model, which is where women are generally really young and that kind of vagina is preferred where it doesn't look as developed, and I don't know, what is a politically correct term for that? You know, they go and they see that, and they go ‘well, I was told that it was different and I've looked at magazines here and I've never really seen any other woman in person and medical diagrams look like this, and magazines look like this, there must be something wrong with me. I'm going to cut off most of my vagina.' And that's just disgusting to me.

It is disconcerting to say the least, and it doesn't help that many of these doctors are unethical enough to just perform the surgery without discussing what a normal vagina looks like with many of these impressionable young women. Come join me in Tucker's Corner for a moment. 

Ladies, just remember, your vagina is nirvana. It's the holiest of holies, and altering it in any way to try and emulate what you think a "normal" vagina looks like is simply not necessary. Any man that wants you to alter your vagina doesn't love you for who you are, and any man turned off by the sight of a normal vagina probably has bigger issues than what's between your legs.
