Robert Rodriguez okay with non-nude Jessica Alba

In a recent interview with Metro, Robert Rodriguez told the world he is okay with Jessica Alba not stripping off any clothes in the new Sin City: A Dame To Kill For. Well, that’s great Mr. Rodriguez, but what about the rest of us?

The graphic novel of Sin City is not for the faint of heart. The pages are filled with graphic violence and tons of nudity, especially one particular stripper, Nancy. When we learned Jessica Alba was to play this role, our excitement grew and grew and… then we were saddened to watch her bra and tight pants (pants, really?!?!) PG13 version of Nancy in the first film. With a heavy heart, we now know the “edited for television version” of Nancy the stripper will continue in the new film. Glad you’re okay with it, Mr. Rodriguez.  

One could point out the irony of Mr. Rodriguez’s comfort level with Alba’s desire to stay clothed while co-star Eva Green is nude even when wearing clothes during most of the movie. While many can make the argument about books becoming films and not staying true to the original material, the real argument here is not seeing one of the most stunning women ever to grace the silver screen shake her funbags while twirling a lasso.
