Nature vs. Naturists

AMATEUR

null

Animals in nature face dangers every day, from natural predators to man made hazards, but now some Florida wildlife is facing an all new danger: Nudist.

About 40 miles off the coast of St. Petersburg is the national wildlife refuge, Passage Key. According to U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service the Passage Key refuge is home to a number of rare birds, such as black skimmers, pelicans, and oystercatchers. Recently FWS the rising sandbar has seen an increase of nesting colonies and nude people on jet skis. All of this in-the-buff traffic is scaring off some of the birds. While the long-term impact is unknown, it looks like the old saying is right: “A bird in the hand is scared of the bush on a nudist.”
