British rag The Sun is most famous for its Page 3 Girl, a usually topless woman featured on the third page of each edition. The paper is run by Fox mogul Rupert Murdoch, who is indeed still alive thanks to his presumed consumption of the souls of the innocent, and he's happy to hear what you ladies out there have got to say about Page 3, right after he gets in a dig at you.
According to The Sidney Morning Herald (link below), Murdoch tweeted a message aimed squarely at his opponents following his receipt of a petition calling for the removal of the Page 3 Girl feature.
On Wednesday Murdoch tweeted "Brit feminists bang on forever about page 3. I bet never buy paper. I think old fashioned but readers seem to disagree."
"Aren't beautiful young women more attractive in at least some fashionable clothes? Your opinion please."
As the Bible says, ask and you shall receive. Murdoch's tweet received more than 200,000 replies, virtually all of which called him out for being the devourer of souls he is.
This isn't even his first rodeo so to speak. The same issue came up last year and was summarily dismissed then just like it will be this time.
It is not the first time Murdoch has agonised over the issue – last year he responded to a tweet which said: "Seriously, we are all so over page 3 - it is so last century!"
Murdoch replied: "You maybe right, don't know but considering. Perhaps halfway house with glamorous fashionistas."
Zing! Murdoch also had this to say...
