Want to Cuddle? There’s An App For That

Let’s be honest, there are sometimes when life is really hard and all we really want is someone to wrap their arms around us, hold us a close, and give us a few moments of a physical connection. That’s right, a hug. Sometimes we all just want a hug. Well, now you can use your phone to find someone to hug you by using a new app called Cuddlr.  

Similar to Tindr, but without all the sex, you can find someone nearby to hug, cuddle, or even spoon with. Cuddlr will allow to you select your snuggle preferences to fit you every hugging need. Once your preferences are set you can begin hugging it out in as little as 15 minutes. After you and your co-spoon have finished, you (and the other participate) can rate the experience and complain, if needed. The purpose of the app is for hugging and hugging only, co-founder of Cuddlr, Charlie William, told the Australian newspaper The Daily Mirror.

Williams also suggest that for you first cuddle you do so in a public place. I understand the need for safety, but the last thing I want to do is see a couple of people spooning in a corner while I’m trying to get a cup of coffee. But I guess if you really need a hug more than anything else, you really don’t care what other people think. In that case, more power to you.
