THROWBACK THURSDAY–Melissa Monet Is All Up on Etsy

Lovely Sweetheart Video veteran performer/director Melissa Monet has a very nice Etsy store with a variety of products that she makes.  Hey, the holidays are coming and you could buy your sweetie a porn star-manufactured necklace as a gift!  You could store your sex toys in style in an "Under Lover Adult Toy Bag" after you have jilled off to one of Monet's scenes!  I had to ask Monet about her Etsy store and its wares and here's what she had to say.  

1) What made you decide to launch an Etsy store?

I'm not very savvy about building a website and I wanted to get my stuff out quickly. Etsy has been the perfect platform, and of course the easiest.

2) What do you think makes your jewelry stand apart from what others make and sell on Etsy?

 I don't know if it does stand apart, I hope so, but I get an idea and I make it, which I think most artists do. Most of my jewelry is custom made and never gets posted to the site. I love creating, but finding the unique center pieces is my favorite part...shopping and touching the stones, I'm very tactile.

3) What can you tell us about your body care products? Do they ever make their way onto the porn set? :)

This is my biggest accomplishment. I'm proud to say my products and the information I've learned researching them have changed lives. My newest product, the "Lip Saver" for instance, I made for a friend suffering from a severe cold sore break out. It took me 2 weeks and an insane amount of batches to get the formula right, then a couple of months of testing to refine it. It's all natural and gives immediate pain relief...it does more, but I can't make any claims. All I can say is those who have tried it, swear by it. I also have an anti-itch mosquito remedy that I can attest saved my mosquito allergy ass more than a few times...I can't live without it now. Those are only 2 of my products, I have 50 between the seasonal stuff and those in development. I've been working on an anti-wrinkle cream for over a year, but to no avail :-(

I have brought my lubricants to set and a couple of times the girls have used it. I personally use it all the time and don't want the fake crap anywhere near me...mine is completely edible!

4) How did your "Under Cover Lover" adult toy bags come about?

I was making these little pouches for my glass toys and Julia Ann saw them. She liked them but said I should come up with a design we could patent, which we did. She came up with the name. I love making these too, but they are very time consuming because I don't use a machine, I sew everything by hand.

5) What is coming up for you with Sweetheart Video?

 I'm hoping to be directing again for them really soon! For now, "Girls Kissing Girls #15" was just released. I don't have a release date on the new title "Lesbian Babysitters #12", but it's my 50th birthday and 20th anniversary movie all in one... I directed it and threw my butt in a scene as well.
