Friend of Fleshbot, and former guest editor, jessica drake is a woman on a mission. She wants the adult industry to show the world that it's a true community of givers by calling on them to help her fundraising efforts for the LA Food Bank and the Downtown Women's Center.

In a press release, drake revealed that she is "campaigning for the adult industry to join forces for a Thanksgiving fundraiser."

“Many people ask a good way to get involved with charity work, and I suggest finding a cause to help promote during the holidays,” says drake. “It’s the perfect time for people to make a difference, and Thanksgiving definitely ignites the spirit of kindness. I am hoping the L.A. adult entertainment industry will come together to show the world the tremendous positive impact we have on our local community.”

The response from Wicked Pictures, XBIZ, and AVN has been overwhelming, as they've already established donation boxes at their Los Angeles offices.

XBIZ Media Managing Editor Dan Miller has already answered drake’s call to action, and is excited to be a part of the cause.

"We're delighted to support jessica's efforts to give back to the community this Thanksgiving,” says Miller. “XBIZ is located in close proximity to downtown Los Angeles, so having our offices serve as one of jessica's drop-off locations for a charity, such as Downtown Women's Center, is ideal."

AVN Media Chief Operating Officer Janet Gibson believes in the adult industry’s ability to create change when working together.

"Many adult companies have a long history of community outreach," says Street. "We are glad to be involved with Wicked Pictures and jessica drake, as they try to bring awareness to local charities, while enlisting the support of the entire industry."

The donation period begins today and tuns through November 25. The LA Food Bank is accepting non-perishable food donations, and the following is a list of new or gently used items that the Downtown Women's Center has requested...
