With a little more than a month to go, the new wearable couples' vibrator dubbed the Eva, has already raised nearly half a million dollars, smashing the Indiegogo record for sex toys. The previous record holder was the insanely popular Autoblow 2, and with 32 days left, The Eva has already grossed $150,000 more than that one.
There are several possible reasons for this, the strongest being the fact that it's geared more toward women and couples, but whatever the reason, there's no denying this thing is a juggernaut. So what does the Eva offer that no other sex toy on the market offers?
Meet Eva, a hands-free vibrator that provides women the clitoral stimulation they want during sex. Eva’s unique flexible wings keep the vibrator in place by comfortably tucking under a woman’s labia majora.
Unlike other hands-free vibrators, the woman wears Eva externally, so both partners get to enjoy the “natural” sensations of sex plus lots of additional stimulation for her.
We designed Eva to address what we call the Pleasure Gap. In heterosexual couples, women are more than four times likelier to describe recent sex as unpleasurable. In fact, studies have shown that, during sex, men orgasm more than twice as often as their female partners.
A huge factor in the Pleasure Gap is clitoral stimulation. As much as 70 percent of women need clitoral stimulation to have an orgasm, but as couples who've tried know, providing that stimulation during vaginal intercourse is often awkward, tiring, or disruptive to one or both partners.
That's why we, a women-led team, made Eva!
Due to its overwhelming popularity, the first wave to be delivered to supporters in February is already sold out. There's hope, though, as you can still get one by May, 2015. That's a long time to wait for proper clitoral stimulation, but fellas, considering how long your lady friend has been waiting, you can't afford to pass this one up.
