This week's edition of "What a Time to be Alive" brings us to Japan, where lingerie company Triumph has created color-changing bras inspired by the hit animated film Frozen. According to The Mirror (link below), the bras change from a blue & white snowflake pattern to a black and pink heart pattern when two women wearing the bras touch.
If you watch the video, however, you'll notice that the bras just seem to change colors at random. The two women never stop touching and the bras just go from white to black and back again at the drop of a hat, kind of like a Kardashian sister—I'll be here all week, incidentally.
The 'Close Sisters Bras' (and matching skirts) are designed to celebrate the close bonds formed between women.
"The depictions, in movies and the like, of sisters helping each other and becoming more confident, have moved all of Japan,” said Triumph in a statement.
To add more oomph to the bras, Triumph has also produced two different sets of heart-shaped pads - one for the "big sister" and a smaller set for "little sister". Anyone wearing the bras can add either one or both sets to enhance their cleavage. The straps of the bras can also be swapped.
I smell a licensing deal with the Starr Sisters.
Not so fast, say the buzzkills over at Triumph however...
The Close Sisters Bras won't be going on sale - they are being used to showcase the innovation of the company.
Damn! You know, last Christmas I bought my daughters these Frozen dolls that sing "Let's Build a Snowman" every god damned time they touch hands. This seemed like the next logical step for the parent of an 8 and 5 year old, but I guess it just wasn't to be. You just ruined Christmas, Triumph!
